2010. May, Wroclaw

A random group of bronze life-like figures descend into the pavement at the crossing of Swidnicka and Pilsudskiego Streets in downtown Wroclaw. These 14 statues, christened 'The Anonymous Pedestrians', are the work of artist Jerzy Kalina and commemorate the people who went into hiding when martial law was imposed in 1981.
